Topaz-X

Introduced Feb 2014, the Topaz-X is a compact, stand-alone digital Multi-Channel Analyzer (MCA) for Energy Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence Analysis.

The PCB board alone is available separately to OEM customers.

Main features:
  • 50MHz, 14-bit precision flash ADC
  • 100MHz DSP on high-performance FPGA
  • Up to 4096 channels spectral memory of 32-bits depth
  • Two modes of acquisition: Pulse Height Analysis (PHA) and Multi-Channel Scaling (MCS)
  • Analog amplification factor from 1 to 256

Topaz-Pico BNC

The TOPAZ-Pico BNC is a special version of the compact Topaz-Pico Multi-Channel Analyzer, where the Lemo connectors have been replaced by standard BNC ones.

Main features:
  • Two modes of acquisition: Pulse Height Analysis (PHA) and Multi-Channel Scaling (MCS)
  • Up to 4096 channels
  • Analog amplification factor from 1 to 16
  • Digital pulse processing using the traditional trapezoidal shaper
  • Built-in digital Baseline Restorer (BLR) and Pile-Up Rejector (PUR)

Topaz-Pico

Introduced May 2013, the Topaz-Pico is a compact, stand-alone digital Multi-Channel Analyzer (MCA). Its pocket-size and low power consumption makes it attractive to the portable radiation monitoring market.

The PCB board alone is available separately to OEM customers.

Main features:
  • Two modes of acquisition: Pulse Height Analysis (PHA) and Multi-Channel Scaling (MCS)
  • Up to 4096 channels
  • Analog amplification factor from 1 to 16
  • Digital pulse processing using the traditional trapezoidal shaper

bMCA-Box

The bMCA-Box is a special version of the bMCA (USB or Ethernet), where the tube socket has been replaced by a single SHV connector. By doing so, the bMCA can be used with a range of odd-sized detectors that are supplied with a single connector that carries both the signal and the high voltage supply.
